°1 can (2 layers) chocolate cake mix cooked according to directions on package
°1 box cherry pie filling
°1 large container thawed cold whipped topping
°1/2 cup optional shaved chocolate
Bake the cake according to the instructions.
Let cool to room temperature.
Ice the first layer of cake with the thawed cold whisk.
Apply a thin layer of cherry pie filling.
Add the second cake and finish the icing with the rest of the fresh whisk. Add the edges of the hose if desired.
Apply remaining cherry pie filling to top of cake. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate on top, if desired.
Serve immediately or refrigerate to serve later.
Store in the refrigerator.
This recipe can be replaced with a strawberry or apple filling.
